Oatmeal raisin protein bars

3/4 cup cashew butter (or any nut butter)
3/4 cup oats – I used quick oats
2 and 1/2 scoops of protein powder – I used Designer whey all natural vanilla whey protein
20 drops of vanilla stevia (if you are not using stevia, add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract – it really makes these cookie-y)
1/8 cup to 1/4 cup water (depending on how dry your mix is)
1/4 cup raisins
1 tsp cinnamon

Mix in a bowl with your hands. if you are not adding stevia, honey would be a lovely substitute, but I’m all out. Honey would add moisture so you would need to add less water.

Form into a giant ball and place in plastic wrap in a dish. Smoosh into dish with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for at least 30 mins to solidify. Cut into bars or roll into balls and enjoy! Store in the fridge.

Love it! Do you know the stats? If not, don't worry! I can plug the recipe into livestrong.
I have all of the ingredients, so these will be made tonight, probably. I have been wanting to make a protein bar recipe lately, but haven't wanted to use up all of my egg whites, so this is perfect!

  2. Sounds great! I just made a version using what I had on hand and put it in the fridge. Can't wait to try it! Thank you!

I made these last night! I like to get some pre-workout carbs so this is perfect. I keep ending up grabbing half a Clif bar because they're quick and easy but I wanted to do something homemade without all the soy. I used 2 scoops vanilla whey protein and 3 Tbs brown rice syrup instead of the stevia (I like rice syrup for pre-workout cuz it's basically straight glucose, I figure I'll get a quick burst of carbs from the rice syrup with the oats taking a bit longer to digest). Used half cinnamon, half pumpkin pie spice. Cut the recipe into 8 bars.
