Broccoli and lemon chicken sausage pasta

4 servings of pasta (I used 115 g of whole wheat spiral pasta. I shoot for ~ 25 g of carb per serving)
1.5 cups of fresh broccoli
1 cup of mushrooms, sliced
5 chicken sausage links
1/4 cup green olives, chopped
3 lemons
Extra virgin olive oil
garlic salt
Parmesan cheese

Start by boiling pasta. Dice up the chicken sausage links and start to brown in a pan with 1 tbsp EVOO. Once the sausage is brown, add in broccoli and mushrooms. Add 1/4 cup of water to pan to start steaming the broccoli. Cook broccoli until it is as tender as you desire. When pasta and sausage/veg are cooked, put in a large mixing bowl and toss with the juice of 3 lemons and sprinkle of parmesan cheese and garlic salt.

Enjoy!! This is one of my all time favorite pasta toppings!

    I've made this 3 times in the last month or so (including right now!)–thought I'd tell you that it's a big hit! We add sriracha if we can't get very spicy sausage :)
