Carla’s rice crispy treats
1/2 cup of almond butter
1/2 cup liquid sweetener (brown rice syrup, coconut syrup, agave, honey, etc)
3 cups of puffed rice (only rice – no additives)
Anything else you want to add.
First, in a saucepan, heat up the almond butter and liquid sweetener by constantly stirring until it lightly bubbles. Make sure to stir so that the bottom does not burn. Poor on top of rice and other ingredients and mix well. Press into a greased pan (I used 8×8) and make sure it is firmly packed. Let set in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Cut up and serve!
