Carla’s raw macaroons
This is my friend Carla’s recipe she sent me! I also have another macaroon recipe you can see here.
3 cups dried, unsweetened coconut flakes and shredded…I do half and half equal parts
1 1/2 cups cocoa powder/ carob powder (half and half also!)
1 cup maple syrup or agave
1/3 cup coconut oil
1 T vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
For blonde macaroons, just sub the cocoa powder for almond meal/flour 
Carla says: set dehydrator at 105 and put them in there for anywhere between 24-48 hours. I usually pull mine out at 30 hours.
For my dehydrator (one temp, 160F) – 6 hours does the job well.
If you don’t have a dehydrator:
Put in the oven and turn it on to 200 for about 5 mins every hour to keep it warm. I let them sit for 8 hours in the warm oven.

Do you just mix the ingredients together and form little balls?
yep! Probably should have wrote that haha…then dehydrate or eat raw.
Awesome, I'm making them tonight! Well, whenever the dehydrator is freed up….I have apples in there now, beef jerky going in next!
