Breakfast sausage
1 lb ground meat (I used organic ground chicken, you could sub beef or pork)
1 tsp salt
1.5 tsp ground sage
1 tsp ground marjoram
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp italian seasoning
1/2 packet Truvia/stevia (optional)
Mix all spices and then add ground meat. MIX WELL. Keep kneading meat until it is very well seasoned and mixed. In a skillet heated to medium heat, places 2 inch round patties. Add any fat if necessary to prevent patties from sticking. I used a nonstick pan that is seasoned so I didn’t use any additional fat to cook it. Cook for about 3 mins on each side, until fully cooked through. You could use this sausage in many different ways! Add to frittatas, breakfast tacos…I let the patties cool and then put them in a freezer back. Reheat two patties for 1.5 mins in the microwave!
